Dear St. Boniface Families,
Welcome to St. Boniface Catholic School community!
Your journey has begun at a student-centered school who prides itself in meeting the individual needs of each student. Thank you for entrusting us with the education of your child(ren). Together, we will work to ensure that St. Boniface continues to be a safe, inclusive, joyful and Christ-centered learning environment.
On behalf of the entire staff, we hope you and your family had a safe, enjoyable and restful summer break and that students feel rejuvenated and eager to get back to school!
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone back to the start of another exciting school year, extending a very special greeting to our new families. There is always excitement and some apprehension as we prepare to begin a new school year but I am sure that you will find the entire St. Boniface Catholic community; staff, students, parents and parish, to be very kind, resourceful, faith-filled and hospitable.
A new school year offers new beginnings with creative opportunities and so we are filled with hope, joy, and excitement about the new possibilities that await us as we continue to strive for the extraordinary in Catholic education. As a Catholic learning community, we continue to nurture our role as servant leaders entrusted with the awesome vocation of bringing our students in relationship with Christ. In the words of St. Theresa of Calcutta, “Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God’s kindness: kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile.”
I believe that having an open door policy where the genuine partnership between home and school is embraced and aids in the overall success of a school year. Therefore, I hope that parents witness this culture of hospitality and feel like valued members of the community when visiting or communicating with the school. We are all part of this amazing school family, with the same mission in providing students with varied opportunities to be successful, to achieve, to learn and to grow in relationship with others and Christ.
In order to help keep parents informed of procedures, events and celebrations, we ask that they review our various communication platforms such as our school twitter & Facebook pages and school website. Please also review the various emails sent from the school and return any of the forthcoming permission and information forms that require a signature. We welcome and require school volunteers so please ensure that the proper documentation is complete and provided to Mary Earle in the main office. Each classroom educator will provide parents with their preferred platform for communication so please take some time to review the information sent home with your child(ren).
On behalf of the staff, I extend best wishes for an exciting and successful 2023-2024 academic school year as we serve the students in our care. By working together, I am confident that we will be able to provide our students with the best possible educational opportunities and experiences by nurturing a Christ-centered environment where daily prayer, mutual respect and virtues are highly valued features of our program. Our Catholic faith is integrated into learning throughout the day, so that students not only learn their faith but also put their faith into action by becoming living witnesses to the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at school 519-236-4335 or by email: llstapleton@hpcdsb.ca.
Welcome back & may God bless you!

Back to School Prayer
Dear God, as a new school year begins, fill the hearts of our children with an eagerness to learn about the world You have created, about themselves and most of all, about You. Bless our teachers with the gifts of wisdom and patience, that they may help their students find the truth. Give our parents generous hearts, to support, encourage and love their children. Help us all to work together to form a community of learning, that teaches not only skills for success but all that we need, to live our faith fully in this world. Amen.
